Research, firm shelf, model-client eligibility, and advisor selection are recorded separately. The scheduled date is the outside bound; new evidence can reopen the file sooner.

Ammalgam DLEX is outside the current firm shelf because its structure maps to the amm-lp policy class. This is a firm-policy classification, not an adverse quality rating and not a client trade instruction. The factual mechanism, control, loss, and exit evidence is retained below.

The research file

Mechanism applicability

Ammalgam deposits liquidity into unified pools that serve swaps and borrowing at the same time. A depositor supplies two assets and receives a pool claim whose redeemable composition moves with trading and with borrower demand against the same inventory. That is a two-sided liquidity position with a path-dependent redemption value, which is the economic claim the version-1 amm-lp dossier describes.

Current observation and perimeter

The DefiLlama protocol API read on 2026-09-15 classified Ammalgam DLEX as Lending and reported approximately $202k across an Ethereum-only perimeter, listed on 2026-07-23 with two recorded audits. The yield survey the same day placed every observed Ammalgam pool under the amm-lp rule. Ethereum is an approved settlement chain, so the settlement layer is not the binding reason here.

Control and exit applicability

Lending against the same inventory that backs swaps means utilization can rise against a withdrawing depositor: borrowed inventory is not available to redeem until it is repaid or liquidated. Redemption returns a share of whatever composition the pool holds at that moment rather than the deposited ratio. Those are ordinary properties of the class, and the dossier treats them as class-level rather than protocol-specific facts.

Firm shelf classification

The amm-lp class is outside the current firm shelf. Research describes the product; firm policy determines shelf eligibility; client constraints determine the candidate set; and the advisor alone selects any action or amount.

Sources

The claims above trace to these. Where a number could not be independently verified, the thesis says so.

Inherited controls

The research above describes the protocol layer. Every position also inherits the asset it holds and the chain it settles on. The most administered layer sets the position’s effective control grade; that is a control description, not a quality or suitability score.
