STRATO Gold and Silver (GOLDST, SILVST)
STRATO GOLDST: can pause transfers, claw back, mint, change the code. A contract can claw back tokens and pause transfers. A contract can change the code with no delay.
This file replaced an earlier version on 2026-09-30. The file said STRATO could not be read. It can: the STRATO node answers in public. This version adds the chain’s own reading of GOLDST and SILVST, which confirms what the file said about the owner’s powers, so a client wallet holding either token on STRATO now matches this file. Earlier versions.

Eligibility
Each answer quotes the issuer’s own words from the document named under it. Ketju reads each document again and records whether the words are still there. Where the documents say nothing, the row states that.
- What the holder owns
The holder keeps title to and beneficial ownership of the metal, which the custodian holds under a bailment.
“Title to and beneficial ownership of the Precious Metals remain at all times with the Customer or lawful token holder.”

- What the holder owns
The same terms also say the metal is allocated but not segregated, which Section 5 contradicts.
“The silver and gold behind each token are held in approved vaults on an allocated, not segregated, basis.”

- Who may hold it
Anyone whose own law and US law do not bar them; US persons are not excluded.
“You can only use our Products to the extent the laws of your jurisdiction or the United States do not bar you from doing so.”
STRATO: Terms of Service (updated 2026-06-24) · Eligibility · words found 2026-09-23
- First purchase minimum
No minimum to buy or hold; redemption takes 100 ounces of silver or two 1-ounce gold coins.
“physical redemptions to the current token holder are available only in standardized 100-ounce bars (in the case of SILVST) and two 1-ounce coins (in the case of GOLDST).”

- Account types
Individuals of age and entities.
“you represent that you are at least 18 years old or at the age of majority in your jurisdiction”
STRATO: Terms of Service (updated 2026-06-24) · Eligibility · words found 2026-09-23
- Who it may be transferred to
Freely on STRATO unless the owner pauses the token; to Ethereum by locking the native token and minting a representation.
“Bridging out locks the token in a STRATO custody vault. A representation token is then minted on the external chain after an attestation.”
STRATO docs: Bridge guide · Native STRATO Tokens · words found 2026-09-23
- How a holder redeems
In person at the New York vault only, with ID matching the wallet’s KYC data.
“STRATO requires all physical redemptions to be completed in person at our designated vaulting facility.”

- Who keeps the official record
The STRATO chain: redemption rights follow current, verified ownership of the tokens on STRATO, so Ethereum holders must bridge back.
“The right to physical redemption is strictly tied to current and verified ownership of the Precious Metals or metal tokens on the STRATO platform”
STRATO: Asset Deposit and Tokenization Terms (updated 2026-04-22) · Section 8 · words found 2026-09-23
- What the issuer says it can freeze or take back
The terms do not mention freezing; the STRATO token code lets its owner burn any holder’s balance, and on Ethereum a 2-of-3 Safe can switch off transfers.
Not stated in STRATO: Asset Deposit and Tokenization Terms (updated 2026-04-22), STRATO: Terms of Service (updated 2026-06-24), STRATO: Treasury and Audits, STRATO docs: Bridge guide.

Who controls it
Ketju read these powers from the deployed contracts and their verified source code: the token and every contract it checks on a transfer. A power listed here is something the issuer can do; it does not mean the issuer has used it.
| Token | Chain | Freeze a holder | Pause | Claw back | Gate holders | Change the code | Keys held by |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GOLDST | Ethereum | No | Yes | No | Yes | Yes | A 2-of-3 multisig can pause transfers. A 2-of-3 multisig can change the code with no delay. |

Who holds the keys
Ketju read every current holder of each power from the chain on 2026-09-30. A single key is one private key, and whoever holds it acts alone. A multisig needs the stated number of signers. A timelock delays every action, so holders can see it before it takes effect.

Redemption
| Route | Settlement | Settles in |
|---|---|---|
| Redeem in kind | The current, verified holder of the tokens on STRATO books an appointment at least five business days ahead and collects the metal in person at the New York vault. The holder shows ID that matches the wallet’s KYC data. SILVST comes in 100-ounce bars and GOLDST as two 1-ounce coins at a time. There is no shipping. The holder pays the vault’s redemption fees and taxes, which the terms do not quantify. STRATO may suspend redemption for regulatory, security, or force majeure reasons. | XAG (100-ounce bars, New York), XAU (1-ounce coins, New York) |
| Secondary market only; no issuer redemption | Holders who do not redeem sell in the STRATO pools against USDST, on Coinstore (GOLDST/USDT), or in Uniswap pools on Ethereum after bridging. | USDST, USDT, USDC |
- On Ethereum, the implementation behind the GOLDST or SILVST proxy changes, the 2-of-3 Safe 0x95b47c329286128d9ee628770b13dd4d795cbf55 changes, the bridge 0x991513a7fb8793fc75955821bbef488f0aa0712f changes, or transfers are switched off
- On STRATO, the owner burns a holder’s balance or pauses a token
- STRATO publishes no vault letter after 2026-06-25 by the end of the next quarter, or native SILVST supply (59,790 on 2026-09-23) stays above the silver last confirmed (59,536 oz)
- STRATO revises the tokenization terms, above all the ownership, segregation, or GOLDST unit clauses, or names a different custodian or issuer
Daily checks
Every day Ketju reads each control function in the table above and the contracts the token checks on a transfer. Ketju compares the token’s on-chain supply with yesterday’s, and its market quote with yesterday’s quote. Ketju also reads every document quoted above and reviews the file again if a quoted passage disappears from its document. Ketju counts a new, removed, or changed key as a change only when the chain’s own log shows the grant, revocation, or signer change since yesterday. If the log does not show it, Ketju updates the key list in this file and does nothing more. A change opens a review before any client action. Subscribers get an email that names each of their clients who hold the token, with the household result.
