Scale
Rejected venues wait the longest for re-review; a rejection has to earn another look before the scheduled date.
Scale is Equalizer’s Base deployment, using stable and volatile AMM pools, gauges and a veSCALE voting system. The 2026-08-16 survey measured about $0.28M of pool TVL on Base. Fees, emissions and vote-directed incentives do not remove the LP’s adverse reserve conversion as traders move relative prices, so the version-1 AMM-LP dossier controls.

The research file
Mechanism applicability
Equalizer documents Scale as its Base-chain deployment. Its AMM creates tradable pairs from pooled assets, with stable and volatile formulas and pool-specific fees. LPs supply the inventory used for swaps; gauges can add SCALE emissions, but the underlying claim remains a share of reserves whose token composition changes with trading.
Control and exit applicability
The documented Base contracts include PairFactory, Router, VotingEscrow, GaugeFactory, BribeFactory, Voter and Minter. SCALE may be locked for up to 26 weeks as veSCALE to direct emissions and obtain fees. A direct LP may remove liquidity through the router, subject to reserves, slippage, token behavior, contract operation and Base settlement; gauge staking adds an unstake step but does not restore the original mix.
Current observation and perimeter
The DefiLlama API read on 2026-08-16 classified Scale as a DEX and reported approximately $0.28M of pool TVL entirely on Base. A separate approximately $0.12M staking suffix is not added to pool TVL. This application covers measured Scale AMM pools, not Equalizer deployments on other chains or governance positions held outside the pools.
Why the class rule decides
Scale LPs supply market-making inventory and bear the resulting change in reserve composition. Stable curves, dynamic fees, gauges and veSCALE voting alter incentives and governance but not this loss channel. Reopen only for a separately measured Scale product whose return and exit do not depend on pooled trading inventory.

Inherited controls
The verdict above grades the protocol layer. Every position also inherits the asset it holds and the chain it settles on. The least safe layer sets the position’s grade, and the position table names which one that is.
