Scrub Invest and ScrubVault are separate live survey identities. The Scrub Invest Kava adapter reported about $7.33M on 2026-08-15 by resolving balances in sixteen LP/gauge pairs plus enumerated yield-optimizer contracts; it does not read ScrubVault’s strategy-reported stablecoin NAV. Because the surveyed capital includes pooled LP inventory whose composition changes with swaps, the shared v1 AMM-LP dossier controls that product perimeter. No claim about ScrubVault’s off-chain book is imported here.

The research file

Mechanism and identity applicability

The current scrubinvest adapter is Kava-only and enumerates sixteen gauge/LP contract pairs, resolves their LP tokens and adds balances held by named Mare and Hover yield optimizers. This is distinct from the scrub-vaults adapter, which reads totalVaultValue from two stablecoin DepositVaults. Separate active endpoints, contracts, chains and accounting methods require separate memos even though both link the same application hostname.

Current observation and perimeter

The DefiLlama scrub-invest endpoint read on 2026-08-15 reported approximately $7.33M on Kava and classified the record as Yield. That figure must not be replaced by ScrubVault’s approximately $136,000 across Kava and Arbitrum. The adapter’s LP-resolution flag and gauge inventory establish AMM exposure in the surveyed balance without proving that every separately marketed Scrub product uses the same mechanism.

Control, loss and exit applicability

LP and gauge positions inherit each underlying pool’s assets, invariant, reward contract, withdrawal path and Kava settlement. Yield-optimizer contracts add strategy and upgrade dependencies, but do not remove the changing pooled inventory or impermanent-loss mechanism. The adapter supplies current contract accounting rather than a complete audit, authority, incident or stressed-exit record for every enumerated position.

Why the shared dossier decides

The shared v1 AMM-LP dossier controls the LP and gauge perimeter actually counted by the Scrub Invest adapter because returns require pooled inventory that rebalances against market prices. Reopen only for an economically separate named product without AMM inventory; review that product independently for its exact assets, contracts and roles, audits and incidents, fees, executable liquidity, stressed exit and named non-AMM alternatives.

The claims above trace to these. Where a number could not be independently verified, the thesis says so.

Inherited controls

The verdict above grades the protocol layer. Every position also inherits the asset it holds and the chain it settles on. The least safe layer sets the position’s grade, and the position table names which one that is.
