Rejected venues wait the longest for re-review; a rejection has to earn another look before the scheduled date.

TownSquare is a modular money market on Monad built for leveraged borrowing and yield. The current DefiLlama API read on 2026-08-14 showed less than $1M of tracked TVL, well below our $100M materiality line. Rejected on size: an advisory book moved into a venue this size on the same research becomes the exit crush, whatever the protocol’s quality. Two things would have to change before the file reopens: the protocol would need to cross the line and hold, and Monad would need to pass chain-level vetting, since nothing deployed on an unapproved chain is reachable for client money regardless of protocol quality.

The research file

Mechanism applicability

TownSquare presents a Monad money market with supply, borrow and yield-vault surfaces, including a dollar-token minting surface. That makes lender liquidity, borrower collateral and liquidation mechanics relevant if the file reopens. This class application records protocol-specific fit only; it is not an individual underwriting conclusion.

Control and operating evidence

The application describes modular lending and vault products, but the below-materiality rule stops the review before administrator, oracle, market-cap, audit and incident diligence. Those items remain expressly unverified rather than presumed safe. Monad chain approval is also a separate reachability gate.

Exit consequence

A lending supplier ultimately depends on available market liquidity and borrower repayment or liquidation for withdrawal capacity. With less than $1M of tracked TVL in the current API read, even a modest advised allocation could dominate venue liquidity. The class rule therefore captures a direct capacity and exit problem, independent of protocol quality.

Why the class rule decides

The v1 below-materiality dossier requires at least $100M of TVL sustained for 30 days before individual research. TownSquare is currently far below that line, so mechanism-specific control, incident and stress analysis is deferred rather than passed. Reopening also requires an approved Monad chain review.

The claims above trace to these. Where a number could not be independently verified, the thesis says so.

Inherited controls

The verdict above grades the protocol layer. Every position also inherits the asset it holds and the chain it settles on. The least safe layer sets the position’s grade, and the position table names which one that is.
