Mechanism applicability
ZenSats uses ERC-4626 Zenji vaults to post deposited WBTC or wstETH as collateral, borrow a stablecoin at a target LTV and deploy the debt into a yield strategy. Current documentation identifies LlamaLend crvUSD borrowing for active vaults and a pmUSD/crvUSD LP staked through Stake DAO. Returns are the residual after borrowing costs, fees and strategy performance, with both leveraged-collateral and AMM dependencies.
Control, loss and exit applicability
The owner may tune bounded LTV, fee, bounty and slippage parameters, operate idle and staged emergency modes and withdraw protocol fees; governance can change only the swapper through a one-week timelock. Withdrawals may require strategy withdrawal, swaps, debt repayment and collateral removal. LlamaLend soft liquidation, oracle failures, LP depeg or thin liquidity can change or delay the collateral returned.
Current observation and lifecycle
The DefiLlama API read on 2026-08-16 classified ZenSats as Yield and reported approximately $0.014M entirely on Ethereum from ERC-4626 totalAssets. Current docs distinguish active WBTC and wstETH LlamaLend vaults from legacy Aave deployments and publish verified addresses. The project explicitly states that a formal third-party audit has not yet been completed.
Why the materiality dossier decides
Measured TVL is approximately 0.014% of the $100M floor, so the venue cannot evidence capacity for advised allocations. Reopen after TVL remains above $100M for 30 days; then verify active addresses and roles, collateral and debt markets, target LTV and liquidation history, oracle and swapper paths, LP and Stake DAO exits, audits, incidents and proposed-size unwinds.
